– L’Oreal’s Volume Collagen Conditioner

– Organix’s Coconut Milk Anti Breakage Serum

– St Ives’s Naturally Smoothing Body Lotion: Oatmeal & Shea Butter

– Rimmel London’s Lipstick in #070, Airy Fairy

– Wet n’ Wild Lipstick in #521A

As I posted earlier, I already bought L’Oreal’s Total Repair 5 shampoo, and it did 100% what it promised to my hair. I love it!

So, I bought this conditioner by L’Oreal hoping for similar effects. Every girl wants more volume right?

Well, I wasn’t overly impressed with this conditioner, but not disappointed either. It added a bit of volume, but not as spectacular as the advertisements.

I would rate this product 6/10.

Don’t you hate it when the light is from behind you, and you see all these millions of broken hairs forming a halo around your head?

I hate that too. VERY much.

This “anti-breakage” serum promises to add strength and flexibility to your hair, thus helping your hair not break as easily.

I love this product. I towel-dry my hair after washing, and then rub a bit of this serum in my palms, and run my fingers through my hair (avoiding my scalp) and then rubbing it into the ends of my hair.

BTW: It smells soooooo good!

My hair feels smooth and silky, and I don’t hear as many *snap snap*s as I brush my hair!

I would rate this product 9/10.

I love nudes. This “Airy Fairy” is almost exactly the same as my natural lip colour.

It feels and looks good. However, it’s a bit boring. Not 100% happy with the look of it as it’s no different from plain ol’ me. But hey! It’s nude right? It lasts a reasonable amount of time.

I would rate this product 6.5/10.

I really like this moisturizer. I’m a fan of St. Ives, and I’ve already tried 3 different selections of their Body Lotion.

This one is my favorite so far, it smells and feels the best so far. It does a good job at moisturizing too, but I think it feels more more than it does.

I would rate this product 7.5/10.

Warm n’ Cozy Fall Look

This look is all about being natural and radiating warmth.

IMG_0423

To get the look I primed my eyelids with Lili Rouge “Stick to It” primer, and then applied Urban Decay‘s “Shag” eyeshadow all over the lid, not rising above the crease.

I smoothed a thin layer of Garnier’s BB Cream over my face, and then Yves Rocher corrector/concealer under my eyes and around my nose. I set it all with a light dusting of Maybelline pressed powder.

I applied Milani’s baked bronzer under my cheekbones and blended. I then brushed MAC blush in “Melba” on the apples of my cheeks.

Then I put on L’Oreal Colour Riche lipstick in 802 “Captivating Copper”.

I applied two layers of L’Oreal Voluminous False Lashes mascara, and defined my upper lash line with Urban Decay‘s eyeshadow in “Zero”.

I don’t know about you, but to me, makeup should reflect your feelings. Some people use it to conceal them too! I personally find Autumn a cozy and heart-warming season. I think of apple and pumpkin pies, orange, brown, lace, bright leaves, apple-picking, cute scarves and jackets. So, I like to reflect my emotions in what I wear.

Have a happy fall! Count your blessings! (:

My Mascara Quest…

Eyelashes make a big difference to every makeup look. However you don’t notice it’s there till it’s not there.

For a couple of years, Maybelline’s Volume Express One by One mascara was my favourite. I still like it, but after trying another mascara and seeing a huge difference, I decided it was time to explore for a new one.

I wanted a mascara that defines, lengthens, and gives a lot of volume. The one I was using mostly defined, but didn’t give a lot of the other two. I researched and experimented a bit. I ended up with four (affordable) favourites….

*(When I say ‘definition’ I mean lash separation.)

IMG_0229

1) Covergirl’s LashBlastvolume mascara.

Rate:

Definition: 9/10

Volume: 6.5/10

Lengthening: 7/10

2) L’Oreal Paris Voluminous False Lashes.

Rate:

Definition: 6/10

Volume: 9.5/10 (Quite clumpy however)

Lengthening: 8/10

3) Maybelline’s Illegal Length Mascara

Definition: 7/10

Volume: 8/10

Lengthening: 8.5/10

4) Maybelline’s Great Lash mascara -waterproof.

Volume: 6.5/10

Lengthening: 8/10

This last one, Great Lash, I actually don’t like because of volume, length, or definition, but it is 100% waterproof. It’s even hard to take off without oil! It’s my #1 trusted summer product.

Many of these mascaras work best when mixed! (As in one coat of Illegal Length, and a second coat of Voluminous False Lashes.)

Eyes are probably the most important feature of your face. Give ’em all you can! Make them stand out!
